If you have shower doors then removing soap scum is a huge problem you have. If you can’t seem to figure out how to easily get rid of the soap scum then this article is just for you! I will show you how to remove it but not with a fancy commercial product – with a natural DIY soap scum remover I recently came up with! I guarantee you are going to love it because it’s effective, easy to make, and super inexpensive!

Here Is What You Need To Do!

You need to prepare rubbing alcohol, white vinegar, baking soda, borax, your favourite essential oils (but this is optional), a sponge, a spray bottle, and a few paper towels.

Then it’s time to start mixing everything. First, grab all the liquid ingredients. Measure a cup of rubbing alcohol then add a cup of vinegar to the spray bottle. Then add a few drops of your favourite essential oil if you want the soap scum remover to smell nice. I recommend using lavender or tea tree essential oils because they have antibacterial properties and will prevent mold and mildew.

Then it’s time to mix the baking soda and borax. Don’t add them to the liquid ingredients – mix them in a separate container. I add 3 teaspoons of baking soda and a teaspoon of the borax.

And now it’s time to actually start removing the soap scum. Spray the mixture on a sponge then dip it in the baking soda and borax then start scrubbing the shower doors using a circular motion. Spray a bit more of the liquid ingredients as you are scrubbing so you can wet the area.

Once you are happy with the result, rinse the shower doors then definitely make sure you dry them with paper towels so no hard water stains form on the surface you just cleaned.
